Hello! If you're reading this, then you're probably a Hufflepuff. Many Puffs aren't happy to be part of the house, and are a bit disappointed. If that's what you feel, you are NOT alone. Many people are like that, and I was, too. Now, though, I'm happy to be a badger. This site is dedicated to make you feel happier about your house.
Other Houses
You'd probably think that Hufflepuffs hate Slytherins, because, well... almost everyone does. However, Puffs don't. Being a Hufflepuff means we ignore unfair stereotypes and make friends with loads of people! INCLUDING SLYTHERINS. Gryffindors and Puffs get along quite well, though they tend to show off a lot. We get along okay with Ravenclaws, even though they can be quite arrogant at times. Just remember: Not every Hufflepuff is weak (Cedric Diggory), Not every Ravenclaw is stuck-up (Luna Lovegood), not every Slytherin doesn't know love (Severus Snape) and not every Gryffindor is brave (Peter Pettigrew).
Quidditch
In the books we are the worst team in Quidditch. This is not necessarily true in real life. Many Hufflepuffs are good at sports. Some may be good beaters or keepers while others are better suited to being a chaser or even seeker. I personally think I'd be a good seeker. Maybe some of us even like to play other games such as broom tag!
Games
Many Hufflepuffs have fun playing wizard games like Gobstones (a game like Muggle marbles where the marbles squirt foul-smelling liquid up into your face if you lose) or Wizard Chess (just like Muggle chess except the pieces are alive and you control them like they're your army).
Classes
Just because we're not Ravenclaw doesn't mean we're not smart. Many houses think we're stupid, but oh how wrong they are! We're clever, and have many notable and clever witches and wizards that come from Hufflepuff. The reason people think we're dumb? We're not show offs.
Bravery
Another myth about our house is that we are not very brave. This myth is ALSO a lie. We are very brave, and will fight to the bitter end for friends, family and loved one. Not many people know about this because we're not show offs (this is the reason people think we're not very good at much apart from hugs).

The Dark Side
We are a bit lacking in one area (as Gabriel Truman states in the Hufflepuff Welcome letter on Pottermore). What we are lacking in is dark wizards. We have produced the fewest dark wizards than the rest of the houses (even less than Gryffindor).
So as you can see, we're not just the leftover house. In fact, we are the BEST house of them all.

Stereotypes
Each house has many rumours and stereotypes. Some are true and others aren't. Because this website is about Hufflepuff, I'll start with that house.
Hufflepuff Good Stereotype: Err... Not many are well known...BUT that's what is so cool about us: we hide everything and are modest (we're so modest people don't know we're modest) and are actually corageous and brave and will fight to the end. That's loyalty for you. There is one that is well known over the internet. It is:
We give good hugs. That is so awesome. Just awesome. Like us. This is one of the only things we boast about!
Hufflepuff Bad Stereotype: We have quite a few because we're underestimated, which isn't a bad thing, althouh it gets us a LOT of bad stereotypes. Some popular stereotypes are that we're scaredy cats (which we SO aren't), we're dumb (which we SO aren't) and we're crazy about plants (which most of us SO are). Because we're modest and don't boast we get underestimated and people think we're dumb and afraid. If a Hufflepuff won a duel with a champion dueller he'd be:
"Oh yeah, I won a duel with a champion dueller!" quietly to his friends who he can trust. A Gryffindor would be like:
"YEAH! I JUST TOTALLY BEAT YOU! IN YOUR FACE! HA! HEY EVERYONE! I BEAT THAT CHAMPION DUELLER!" loudly in classes, the Great Hall and the common rooms.
See the difference?
Gryffindor Good Stereotype: Brave. They save the day, fight Death Eaters, own Deathly Hallows, destroy Horcruxes and knock out professors (Snape in Prisoner of Azkaban) on a daily basis.
Gryffindor Bad Stereotype: Recklessness. With bravery comes foolishness and recklessness. Many Gryffindors risk everything to fight people they dislike, risking (and often losing if they're unlucky) family and friends.
Slytherin Good Stereotype: Err... Not many, either. Slytherin, like Hufflepuff, has a lot of haters because of it's dark reputation. Hufflepuffs are most likely to become friends with Slyths because of their ability to ignore stereotypes. This makes Puffs and Slyths best friends, and if someone dares to hurt the Puff, the Slytherin friend will show extreme loyalness (a little-known quality in Slytherins) by protecting and standing up to the Puff.
Slytherin Bad Stereotype: This one's sort 'o obvious. THEY ARE EVIL. This is believed by lesser HP fans and greatly annoys Slyths and SUPER EXTREME HP FANS. They get this unfair reputation because of Voldemort coming from Slytherin, as well as many Death Eaters. Next time you call Slytherins evil, just think about it. Harry Potter was almost a Slytherin, and even though he's a Gryff, he posseses many Slytherin qualities. As well as this, Snape was a Slyth, (SPOILER ALERT) and how can you call him evil? (SPOILER END) Finally Merlin was a Slytherin.
Ravenclaw Good Stereotype: Brainy and clever. This is a desirable quality that many houses have, but not as much as Ravenclaw. Claw's minds are very clever and wise, which helps them figure out problems, speed through homework and above all, master magic.
Ravenclaw Bad Stereotype: Arrogant and stuck-up. Some Ravenclaws see other houses as dumb and less clever than themselves. In addition to this, they boast about their academic achievements and awards quite a bit which doesn't help their friendship with the other houses.
